[1898] Nash, E B. Leaders in Homoeopathic Therapeutics. Describes 233 remedies. First published in 1898. The 4th edition of Nash's Leaders in Homeopathic Therapeutics was published in 1913, towards the end of his career. Nash suffered from blindness by the time he finished this work but this did not deter him from writing a book to be a real help to the beginner. Instead of the common alphabetical presentation, the remedies are laid out according to relationships that Nash felt were interesting. The characteristic symptoms of each remedy are given, followed by a narrative description that elucidates those symptoms through comparison with other remedies.

[1904] Kent, James Tyler. Lectures on Materia Medica. Describes 205 remedies. First published in 1904, 2nd and revised one was publised in 1911. This course of lectures on the Homeopathic Materia Medica was delivered at the Post-Graduate School of Homoeopathics. The lectures are presented in the simple form to explain the author's plan of studying each remedy. The speech of laymen presents all sickness to the physician's mind, hence the Materia Medica must be reduced from technicalities to simple speech. No two remedies are studied exactly alike. Each has its own requirement in order to bring before the mind what is characteristic. Hahnemann's Materia Medica Pura, Hering's Guiding Symptoms, and the Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica have been the works that have given the most help in these studies.

[1910] Allen, Henry Clay. Materia Medica of Nosodes. This comprehensive work contains 27 remedies with a list of characteristics, related remedies, and the proving symptoms from head to foot. Many of the symptoms are still missing from the common repertories, including all the proving symptoms and the effect of X-ray, electricity, and magnetism. They offer an exciting glimpse of the future theoretical investigation of the mode of action of homeopathic remedies.
